Just a great shoutout to the excellent way this restaurant handled a crush of people on Valentines Day. We usually avoid eating out on V-Day. We had a reservation for 7:30, we were seated by 7:37 which given the amount of people waiting was rather miraculous. The service couldn't have been better. Food was delicious. My husband and I shared an appetizer of grilled calamari in a lemon vinaigrette. Calamari was tender and well seasoned with the vinaigrette...delicious. Shared a Caesar salad which was ample for two people. A little heavy on the dressing, next time I would ask for light dressing. My husband had rigatoni bolognese which he said was extremely flavorful, best he has had. I had veal francessci which was 3 veal medallions pounded thing, egg, lemon and cheese light batter, over the thinnest and most delicious angel hair ever. We ended our meal with decaf cappuccino. Our only mistake was in choosing the limoncello cake over the New York Cheesecake. There is a very large dessert menu. All in all it was a successful meal. Will definitely return. This is a BYOB, no corkage, but they do offer some wines by the bottle. Very good Italian food. We loved the bacon wrapped scallops and our entrees. The veal chop was cooked perfectly. The calamari was good but not great and the desserts were okay. Our server was very friendly. I would come back and probably skip dessert.

Went Friday night of Labor Day weekend which was our first time. We did not have reservations but were able to get a table for 3 right away! Not sure about the reviews that say small portions, I was plenty full when we left! If you’re looking for a ton of cheap food go to Golden Corral!! I had the chicken parm with rigatoni which was excellent! My daughter and wife loved their dinner as well! Great French fries!!! My only complaint was the wood chairs!! Slightly uncomfortable after some time and I was afraid that if I ripped one the picture on the wall may have fallen!! The food here was excellent—fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful. The chef clearly knows what they’re doing, and I would have loved to come back just for the dishes. Unfortunately, the restaurant’s policies ruined the experience. They charge a $25 surcharge if you don’t order an entrée, even if you’re ordering multiple appetizers or other items. Added to that is a surcharge for credit card use—an increasingly unpopular tactic in an industry built on welcoming guests. I understand that restaurants have costs to cover, but penalizing customers for choosing what they want to eat feels unreasonable. Dining out should be about enjoying the food and experience, not navigating a list of restrictions and extra fees. Because of these policies, I won’t be returning. I’d rather spend my money somewhere that values customer choice as much as the quality of the food. It was our first time dining here. The food and the staff were amazing. Angelo gave us the five star treatment. It was our 3rd anniversary and they sang to us along with getting a complimentary desert. We definitely recommend this place. I didn’t give it a 5 star rating because it was very noisy.

I actually would rate this 7 stars out of 5! In my humble opinion, the food was right up there with Joe Bastianich's Manhattan restaurant that we ate at years ago. My meal was excellent! I had the Rigatoni Bolognese. It was done with perfection. My adult son couldn't stop raving over his meal. (For privacy I won't mention what he had.) It is very pricey, but for the quality of the food, it's worth going at least once if you have the budget for it. I highly recommend it. We fell upon La Fontana by accident amd gosh I'm so glad we did. Our meal was the best we had all week! Not only was the food great, so was the service and people that were sitting outside and were chilly were give blankets. Such a nice touch. Let me start off by saying I would give this restaurant a zero if possible. Please make note while you read this that all these issues occurred during the OFF SEASON of a beach town. We arrived at our reservation 5 mins early and were seated at 6:30. We sat there for 20 mins waiting to be waited on. No one came even though the tables around us were being assisted. The waitress made eye contact with us but avoided us. Please note that it was a group of 3 of us who are young ladies around 25. Even though we look young we have good paying jobs, all have worked in the service industry, and should not have been ignored. No one came to our table nor did we have water. We waited ten more minutes and then had to go up to the hostess and ask that someone come and wait our table. The hostess was on her phone when we went up to talk to her about the lack of service. A flustered waiter finally came over to us and we finally got water for the first time. We ordered immediately and then our wait began again. We waited another 40 minutes and our waiter nor any other waiter who was working that area came to our table during that time. By this time we are totally out of water. Someone finally noticed that we still had no food and I saw her flag down our waiter to tell him. Our waiter ran back over and told us 10 more minutes for our food and finally refilled our water. Our food finally came out and we were so hungry and excited. Unfortunately, our pastas were undercooked and hard to eat. We picked at them and moved the food around our plates for a little bit and we’re upset that the $25 pasta was unfulfilling. No one came to check in and ask how our meals were or if we needed anything. To make matters worse during our dinner a table was rearranged to accommodate a large party. When the people sat down they blocked us in and basically sat on top of us. At this point we were annoyed and we had to ask the other table to please stand up so we could go talk to someone. The one lady at the table was elderly and could not easily move so they asked us to squeeze past her and our butts had to brush against her head. We again walked up to the hostess to ask to speak to a manager. Again she was on her phone! This place is packed and crazy busy and she’s standing there on her phone. She said the manager was outside waiting tables and he would be right in. Low and behold the gentleman who comes in is our waiter. However, we don’t talk to him because he is telling the hostess that he has to run to another table. So we get to talk to the chef. We explain our situation with the bad service and undercooked pasta. The chef tells us we are wrong because he doesn’t undercook pasta. Taste preferences I understand but do not tell me I am wrong. I was very unhappy with my experience and you are clearly unconcerned. After an unhelpful chat with him we ask the hostess who at this point is kind of moving around the room awkwardly to make herself look busy if we can have the check. There is no point going back to the table because I don’t want to ask the other table to stand up or awkwardly brush my butt on them as I try to squeeze past. As we stood there at the hostess stand waiting for the check I watched another table have to flag down their waiter to ask for the bill so they could leave. I am assuming what happened is they saw that we had been there for an hour with no food and then rushed out order. Overall don’t waste your time coming here or spending $25 on bad pasta. Definitely don’t complain about it or you’ll be told you’re wrong.

We had a fabulous meal last night but my real reason for this review is to complement the management and patrons for jumping into action to help us when a family member experienced an injury after leaving. The management stepped in to help and so grateful to guests who left their dinner to call 911. There was an EMT and a nurse and several other strong people who jumped in to help.
